Songs in the Key of Life’s New Years Resolutions

by vivrant thangĀ on goals

I didn’t make any personal New Years Resolutions this year. I’ve written year one of the five year plan I mentioned in a previous post. Per the goal setting group rules, there are stiff penalties for noncompliance. So I have my have my hands full on the personal tip!

TGrundy’s comment on a previous post asking whether I intended to take this blog somewhere or whether it was going to take me somewhere really got me thinking. Where am I going to take this thing? Also this post got me thinking I should actually set some goals for this blog for 2008.

I’ll revisit this list on January 1, 2009.

Happy New Year!

    Are those conferences worth it?

Okay…I clicked on the first one and immediately saw a typo. *sigh* They are trying to get folks to come pay MONEY but they can’t use spell check? Imma need someone to prove to me that this one is legit.

    Regualar…*SIGH*

  3. Happy New Year Vivrant! I’m sure whatever you decide to do with the blog (or what it decides to do with you) will be out-standing!

  4. VT: “Happy New Year!” to ya, lady. Love the goals. Remember to enjoy the journey as well as your arrival at your final destination (wherever that may be {smile}.

@ creole – I’m not fooling with you! LOL! You’re right though. That gets the side-eye and is a turnoff. I feel the same way when I encounter a typo on a site that is supposed to be about bidness. This is the first year for the BWB conference so I can’t really speak on it. I see that some of the bloggers I respect are promoting it on their sites so I’m definitely considering it. I really would just love the opportunity to meet other bloggers of color. Keeping my eye on the development.

As for Blogher, I’ve heard nothing but good things about it. They have a lot of the content from last year’s conference on the site. I think that one may be of interest to you.

@ b: my first commenter :) Thanks girlie. I’m excited to see what you have in store at your place as well.

@ tgrundy – Thanks so much, T. Indeed, I am enjoying the journey. As I’ve said so many times, I’m just happy to be writing regularly again.

Sounds like you have a master plan, Vivrant. Good deal. I am interested in putting more and more efforts into my reading and writing. Trying to see where it can take me. Who knows? But I plan on seeing though. You feel me.

    Let’s get it in ‘o8!
