Sorry to get here late, but I been under the gun IRL lately (not the least of which was taking care of the taxman!) Love this post about the funk. It reminds me of the high school and college days and all those great house parties… Whoo-Hoo!

However, no funk lineup from back in the day would be complete without the “Players from OHIO”! Their early stuff (“Pain”, “Pleasure”) was outa sight… and no party back then was right if you didn’t have “Skintight”, “Fire” or “Love Rollercoaster”! And let’s not forget Kool & the Gang, “Jungle Boogie” and “Hollywood Swinging”, baby!

Man O man… talkin’ about all this old school funk is getting me all worked up. I think I feel a “Vibrant Thang Funky Monday” mix comin’ on!
