Love Jones is the best movie soundtrack, although The Color Purple gives it a run for its money. One of my favorites is Beaches, I love Bette Midler.

@joshua – I feel the same way. I can remember exactly what was going on in my life at the time.

@ justin – oh no you didn’t! that is an excellent pick. i can also remember what was going on in my life at the time that one came out.

@iw – oh ledisi is doing big things. she was just nominated for a couple of grammys. i am so happy folx are finally waking up and discovering what most of us have known forever. she is one of THE premiere voices of our time.

love jones i think will always be a pinnacle moment in my life. everything from the soundtrack to the film itself really exemplifies my life. or at least how i feel my life is at times.
