Great theme this week. Music by New Edition, collectively or solo as well as any groups they were apart of or produced. So many choices with this one. I went from LSG to just Johnny Gill. I thought about getting my Mr. Sensitivity on with Ralph. Maybe a little Poisionnnnnnnnn so I could feature my favorite New Edition member who I crushed on BIG time, Ronnie.
In the end, although he will be a popular choice, I decided to go with Bobby. He is celebrating his 40th birthday this week, and has yet another crumbsnatcher on the way that he’ll be hard pressed to be able to afford Similac for. So let’s show him some love. And some prayer. He needs both. Let’s remember the good ole days before well, you know.
Three of my favorite solo tracks from Bob-bay!
Now this is definitely a week where you want to visit other OSF members and see what they pulled out of the vault.
Have a great weekend folks!
I went with Johnnie Gil this week cause NE was a tad bit “after my time”. But, must say, I’m enjoying watching the youngsters do their thing! LOL
I have seen 3 bobby videos already! This better not end up being the Bobby Brown theme!
I think these are his 3 greatest hits while solo.
Great choices!
I love Bobby B, and this album was just the best. It took me forever to chose a song. I thought about the Girl Next Door, because he was dancing in tights, I thought about Girlfriend, because he actual looks cute in the video, I wanted to play Roni, but all I could find was the live remix…
Last, but not least, I chose Rock Witcha, too.
Cracked up at Bobby Brown’s picture at top. The NE were after my boy-bands-rule days, but they were popular enough that I was aware of them, at least recognized their pictures when I saw them.
Hmm, so Bobby’s 40. How the days go by.
Don’t be afraid to say it, you mean, before – “crack was wack!”. She said it, not me.
“Every Little Step” is a fun little ditty that my Mom still sings to this day. It takes me back to the Talent Show days…lol
NE is my favorite all male group EVER! I’ve seen them in concert so many times I can’t count. Whenever I see Bobby I think of the career he could have had. I saw him in concert twice after he went solo and he is, by far, one of the best entertainers i’ve ever seen. He coulda been a contender.
Every Little Step is my favorite Bobby video. Roni and Good Enough are my favorite songs.
Damn I miss New Edition!
