(second post for today; OSF is below)
I’m sure you’ve all heard by now about the verdict in the Sean Bell case. None of the three officers fill face any prison time for firing fifty rounds, killing murdering Bell just hours before his wedding.
I am beyond disgusted. I’m numb. It’s hard to hold on and believe that a black man will actually be President when we have this kind of shit still happening. Wesley Snipes is going to jail for three years and these mofos get nada.
I know I was pretty harsh in my criticism of Michael Vick and I stand by it. Michael Vick put himself in that situation and all Sean Bell and Amadou Diallo were doing was being black men in America. However, how in the hell can he get a year for fighting animals and these pigs get nothing? Because the value of a black human life means less than an animal. Just because Obama is within a stone’s throw of the nod, don’t get it twisted!
What the hell is going on?
Please send one up for Nicole Bell and her family, especially her babies. The fight is not over.
There’s not much more I can really say about this so I’ll let Marvin do it for me.
Update: Now these fools are prank calling her – laughing about the verdict? Disgusting.

Same shit, different day. You know how it is.
I’ve commented on the case on so many blogs that I’m not even gonna say much here. You can check my MySpace blog for my thoughts about it as well.
If we could just come together, the revolution will not be televised….
Well talk about 6 degrees of separation. I found you by a Google search on Neo Soul & Soul artists I haven’t heard of yet. As I strolled through your spot I see that you participate in a meme with several folks I read regularly. Go figure. Anyhow, I see we enjoy much of the same music and I look forward to getting acquainted with several of the artists you like that I didn’t know about. Welcome to my blogroll!
a message to my brothers: THINK. USE YOU HEAD.
“money, we make it. before we see it, you take it. ohhh, make me wanna holler, the way they do my life. ohhhh, make me wanna holler. the way they do my life. THIS AINT LIVIN’…”
RIP.
The NYPD fired the shots but Black America is responsible for the death of Sean Bell. When the day comes when we can stop killing one another and start respecting each other, we won’t have to worry about law enforcement killing us. United we stand, divided we fall. We’ve been divided for a looong time, no wonder we keep falling.
